Top new released smart phones in India under thirteen thousand

Every month we witness the launch of a new phone and thus it is becoming more difficult to select a phone to buy. The fierce battle among the phone companies has seen the price of phones going down drastically. Every company is trying its best to give their customers the best experience within a budget. And finally the phone companies are starting to tap into the huge market supported by the middle class family in India. Thus, they have concentrated their abilities to come up with new models which are packed with features but are within the buying capacity of a middle class family member. In the beginning of this race only indigenous brands were introducing phones in this range but now the big players are trying to get a hold of this market sector too. Let’s discuss the top phones under thirteen thousand.

  • Nokia 3: The giant is back to capture the market with their new line of products after a brief period of releasing under performing phones. HMD has revamped their ideals and finally Nokia is available with the stock android. With Nokia 3 they successfully entered the market and have been able to capture a lot of eyeballs. The buzz created by it is partly due to its brand value and the fact that unlike earlier they are providing a complete android experience. Nokia 3 has 2 GB of ram and is quad core, has a screen of 5 inches and a 294 ppi. The phone has a front and a back camera of both 8 MP. It has a battery of 2630 mAh. The phone is at par with the other phones on this category and performs better than Nokia’s earlier phones. The highlight of this phone is the built quality. The entire phone is made of metal and has a premium experience when held. The other features perform quite well too. The only downside is the fact that while other phones in this category offers fingerprint sensor, Nokia 3 has none. Apart from this, the phone is worth buying and it’s been a long time since we have seen Nokia come up with such a phone. The price of this phone is around 8999 rupees.

  • Micromax Canvas Infinity: After a long time an indigenous brand has been able to capture the attention of the people. It launched a phone with Full Visual Display and it has an aspect ratio of 18:9. Such displays are only found in high end phones by LG or Samsung. And it is thus one of the best looking phones in this category. Not only the display but Micromax also has some impressive specifications under the hood. This phone is armed with 3 GB of ram and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor. It also has a 2900 mAh battery and runs on android 7.1.1. If you are looking for a good display then this is a must buy. It is priced at 9999 rupees.

  • Xiaomi Redmi Note 4: This was somehow expected. Xiaomi has earned a reputation of launching phones extensively in this exact category. And this one is no different. Armed with Snapdragon 625 processor, it can easily leave the other phones in this category far behind in terms of performance. And this high performing processor is powered by 4100 mAH battery, which keeps this phone powered up for almost an entire day and then some more. The rear camera is a 13 MP snapper and the front camera is of 5 MP. The phone is made of metal and also has a fingerprint sensor. It has a display of 5.5 inches. The phone is priced at 10999 rupees.

  • Lenovo K6 Power: This phone is at par with its siblings and performs quite well. This phone is has two variants, a 3 GB and a 4 GB model. The display is of 5 inches and has a resolution of 1920×1080. It has a pixel density of 441 ppi which is better than a lot of phones in this segment. An octa core Snapdragon 430 processor powers it. It still runs android 6.0.1 but leys hope Lenovo provides an update soon. The front and the rear cameras are of 8 and 13 MP respectively. It has a 4000 mAH battery which keeps it running for more than a day. Basically it is pretty standard phone when comparing with other phones in this price bracket. But the deciding factor is the promise of Lenovo, as they have always made phones that last long and they have been in this race for a long time now. The price of the 3 GB variant is 9299 rupees.

  • Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime: After releasing quite a few models in the upper price bracket, Samsunghas turned its attention to this segment. With its J series models, it has been able to make its introduction after a long time. This is a basic phone with 2 GB ram and running android 6.0. It is powered by Exynos 7570 SoC quad core processor. Cameras are of 13 and 5 MP. It has a 2400 mAH battery under its hood. With a display of 5 inches and 294 ppi, this phone is not exactly a showstopper but it surely does live up to the Samsung fans out there. It is priced at 12280 rupees.

Mid-range phones are becoming more popular since they are packing the same firepower as their pricier counterparts. The prices have drastically fallen and this enables the majority of the population to have an access to a smartphone. Customers are spoiled with choices and they must be smart when buying a smart phone.

iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus comparison

iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus comparison

Every Apple fan waits for the launching ceremony of a new model of iPhone and Apple never disappoints their fans. The same happened this year on September 12. While people were expecting Apple to launch upgraded models of iPhone 7, Apple went out and surprised everyone. They released a new iPhone, named iPhone 8. Along with that they also released a slightly upgraded model of that namely iPhone 8 Plus and another surprise which was named iPhone X. While iPhone 8 and 8 Plus were able to create a hype among their fans, iPhone X did actually grab a lot of eyeballs. iPhone X is quite different from the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, even though they were launched together. iPhone X stands out due to its face ID but the difference between iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus is slight, but those slight differences have been putting the Apple fans into a dilemma. So let’s compare the two models of iPhone 8.

iPhone 8 has a 4.7 inch LCD display with IPS technology. While iPhone 8 Plus has a slightly bigger screen of 5.5 inches. Both have Apple’s retina display. The difference, apart from the screen size is the resolution. While iPhone 8 has a resolution of 1334×750 with a 326 ppi, iPhone 8 Plus has 1920×1080 resolution with 401 ppi. In terms of display size and resolution iPhone 8 Plus has an upper hand. The contrast ratio in iPhone 8 Plus is 1300:1 and in iPhone 8 it is 1400:1. Both the models have true tone and wide colour display with 3D touch. The brightness in both the devices are exactly the same.

Weight and size

Let’s talk about the size of both the models. Naturally the iPhone 8 is a tad smaller than iPhone 8 Plus. The dimensions of iPhone 8 are 5.45×2.65×0.29 inches. The dimensions of iPhone 8 Plus are 6.24×3.07×0.30 inches. There is also a slight difference in the weights of the model. While the iPhone 8 weighs 5.22 ounces, the iPhone 8 Plus weighs 7.13 ounces.

Surprisingly, both the models have exactly the same chip, Apple’s fastest chip yet, A11 bionic chip with 64-bit architecture. So in terms of performance, both are identical. Both of them contain the neural engine and the M11 motion coprocessor. It is interesting to note that even iPhone X has the same specifications when it comes to the chip contained in it. Apple has claimed that it is the fastest chip available in the market. So while they are definitely an upgrade from the earlier iPhones, there is no difference among the three models launched.

Apple fans swear by the cameras of their iPhones and similarly iPhone always surpasses its competitors by quite a large margin. And so even this time Apple did not disappoint. But there is a major difference in terms of camera between the two models of iPhone 8. While the iPhone 8 has got a single camera of 12 megapixel, iPhone 8 Plus is armed with dual cameras, both of 12 megapixel. Optical zoom in iPhone 8 is 5x while in iPhone 8 Plus is 10x. The camera in iPhone 8 is a wide angle one. The camera setup in iPhone 8 Plus consists of one camera being wide aperture and the other being telephoto. This enables the iPhone 8 Plus to take pictures with bokeh effect. iPhone 8 Plus also features the portrait mode which is absent in iPhone 8. These feature makes the iPhone 8 Plus a winner in this category. Due to these distinct differences the opinion of the buyer may considerably change.

Talking about the front camera both the models have identical cameras of 7 megapixels. Both have retina flash and 1080p HD video recording.

Apart from iPhone X no other model has face ID. Thus, both the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus has fingerprint sensor of second generation integrated into the home button. Nothing really sets them apart in terms of authentication and security updates.

This is one topic which has been troubling the customers for a long time. With the launch of iPhone 7, fans saw the introduction of a better battery. Even in iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, Apple claims that they will last almost the same as iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus respectively. On comparing both the models, iPhone 8 will last up to 14 hours of talk time and iPhone 8 Plus will last up to 21 hours. This should be enough to propagate an idea about the battery life of these models. Both of them support wireless chargers (Qi chargers) and one can also charge their iPhones by connecting to the computer through an USB cable.

While in some aspects both iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are similar, there are areas which sets them apart. In terms of camera and display, iPhone 8 Plus definitely has an edge over iPhone 8. To support a bigger screen the battery in iPhone 8 Plus is naturally bigger than iPhone 8, but there has not been any significant upgrade in the battery life in comparison with the iPhone 7. Performance wise, both the models are identical. The main feature for the iPhone 8 Plus will be the dual cameras. So in terms of price, iPhone 8 costs $699 for the 64 GB variant, while the iPhone 8 Plus costs $799 for the 64 GB variant. So, whether you would like to shell out an extra hundred bucks or not depends on your requirements.
