If you want to send SMS in the United States or Canada, yes. Carriers require every business to register its brand and campaign before text messages will deliver. It takes a few days and involves a small one-time carrier fee. We walk you through the registration, but the brand must be registered in your business name, not ours.

Your contacts, opportunities and conversations export cleanly at any time - that data is yours. A snapshot of your funnels, workflows and calendars can also be transferred into your own GoHighLevel account if you decide to upgrade later. It is a migration rather than a one-click switch, but nothing is held hostage and there is no exit fee.

Yes. Plenty of people start on a sub-account to learn the platform on a low monthly cost, then move to their own agency account once they are reselling or running multiple businesses. We will transfer a snapshot of your build so you are not starting from scratch.

Yes. Your sub-account has the full GoHighLevel AI suite — Conversation AI, Voice AI, the AI Appointment Setter and AI review replies. There is no feature restriction on your account compared with any other GoHighLevel user. AI usage is metered by GoHighLevel and billed on top: roughly $0.02 per AI message and per-minute rates for Voice AI. For most small businesses that is a few dollars a month.

WhatsApp is available as a $10/month add-on. We enable it on our agency account for your sub-account and bill you separately, so you can cancel WhatsApp at any time and keep your CRM running. Meta may also charge conversation fees through your connected Facebook Business account, depending on your country and message volume. There is nothing for you to set up — tell us when you want it on.

Calls and SMS run through Twilio, which we connect to your sub-account when you are ready. You pay Twilio's published rates for your country — in the US that is roughly $0.0079 per SMS segment and $0.014 per minute for calls. Email sending is metered by GoHighLevel at a fraction of a cent per email. We do not add a markup to any of it.

GoHighLevel only lets the agency account hold a payment method, so usage is charged to us first and we pass it on. In practice: if your usage is under $5 in a month we absorb it and send you nothing. Above $5 we send you an itemised invoice for the actual amount. No markup, no minimum, and you will never get a surprise bill without seeing the breakdown first.

Yes. We have sub-account customers across North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia, and GoHighLevel works the same everywhere. The only regional difference is messaging: A2P 10DLC registration is required for SMS in the US and Canada, WhatsApp is often the better channel in Latin America, Europe and Asia, and Twilio rates vary by country.
